My Journey with Fairwayrock

16 March 2022

Last October, I saw an email from my University calling for digital marketing intern applicants. When I noticed it was Fairwayrock that was hiring, I looked into the company. After reading their profile, I knew this is where I wanted to be! I joined the team in November 2021 as an intern and now I work part-time as a Digital Marketing Assistant.

Why Fairwayrock?

The main reason I decided to intern at Fairwayrock was because I wanted to learn and grow professionally. I wanted to work for a company that wasn’t afraid to hire young talent, regardless of their background. I knew that joining the company would help me gain relevant experience and expand my knowledge.

Another reason I wanted to apply for the position at Fairwayrock was because of their views on sustainability. Being environmentally friendly and aware is something that I am passionate about. Fairwayrock aims to meet the needs of customers without having to compromise the environment. Also, Fairwayrock looks to boost customers confidence by providing information that helps lead to informed buying decisions. This helps to reduce returns and waste. To me, this is a win-win situation!

What I Learnt

When I started working at Fairwayrock, I had a basic understanding of what digital marketing was. I have since expanded my knowledge in many areas such as SEO and social media. I now understand how important it is to target your content to your audience.

During my time at the company, I have learnt the value of working in a team. I have helped to create content on the B2B and B2C side of the company and have shared in a lot of teamwork tasks. This is the best part of my job! This is because I get to interact with experienced and like-minded people.

Why I chose to Stay

To me, Fairwayrock is home. I enjoy being part of a team that shares the same vision and values as myself. Not only that, Fairwayrock continues to provide me with the opportunity to grow professionally and socially. I still have a long way to go but I am proud to be affiliated with Fairwayrock.
