With having to wear protective face masks for the past year, we know your skin is probably suffer from a bit of “maskne.” That is why we have decided to take a bit of a different path to our usual DIY blogs and create a DIY face mask blog that will help you clear your skin at home!

1: The Yogurt one
Firstly, the simplest DIY face mask you can do is this yogurt face mask. If you’re looking for a face mask to clean your skin and tighten up your pores this is the one for you! All you need is some plain yogurt and a spare 20 minutes. Just cover your face in the plain yogurt and let it sit for 20 minutes. Simple!
If you’re looking for a bit of a more rejuvenating face mask, this one might be for you.
All you need is:
- 1 teaspoon of plain yogurt.
- Freshly squeezed orange juice.
- Orange pulp.
- 1 teaspoon of aloe.
- and a spare 5 minutes!
Finally, mix all of the ingredients together and leave on your skin for a fresh feeling face.

2: The Egg one- DIY Face Masks
Another simple DIY face mask that you can do at home is this egg face mask. This face mask can be altered to suit dry or oily skin. If you have oily skin, you should use the egg white, whereas if you have dry skin, simply beat the yolk and use that in this mixture. If you have combination or normal skin, you can use the whole egg!
Finally, all you have to do is pick the part of the egg that suits your skin’s needs, as stated above, and mix in together these ingredients:
- Egg.
- Honey.
These ingredients work especially well for people with oily skin. Keep the mixture on for 30 minutes and reveal your fresh new skin!

3: The Oatmeal one
Finally, the last DIY face mask we have for you is this oatmeal face mask. If your skin is needing a bit of a freshen up, this face mask is for you!
What you will need:
- 1/2 a cup or 120ml of hot water, make sure it is not boiling!
- 1/3 of a cup or 70ml of oatmeal.
- 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt.
- 2 tablespoons of honey.
- 1 small egg white.
Firstly, mix the water and oatmeal together and let it settle for a few minutes. Secondly, mix in the honey, egg white, and yogurt. Then, apply the mixture to your face and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Finally, when you are rising off your face mask, make sure to have a strainer in your sink to catch all of the oatmeal bits.
